Solving Problems Running System Verification Tests Running System Verification Tests HP-UX uses a diagnostics product called MESA that includes the Support Tools Manager (STM), which allows system operation verification. To use STM, you need to be on an HP-UX 10.20 operating system and to load the Workstation Additional Core Enhancements for HP-UX 10.20 (June 1999) HP-UX Diagnostic/IPR Media on your computer. There are three interfaces that allow you access to the Support Tools Manager: a command line interface (accessed through the cstm command), a menu-driven interface (accessed through the mstm command), and the graphical user interface (accessed through the xstm command).
