The Gateway, using the dynamic Routing Information Protocol (RIP) protocol, determines the route that the network packets take based on the fewest number of hops between source and destination. The RIP protocol regularly broadcasts routing information to other routers on the network. Select the Dyn. Routes tab of the Expert Interface to view the DYNAMIC ROUTING screen.
