Previous view ■■Selecting the Main and Sub bands The IC-7850 has 2 identical receivers, Main and Sub. The Main band is displayed on the left hand side, and the Sub band is displayed on the right hand side of the LCD. Some functions can only be applied to the selected band, and transmission occurs on only the Main band (except during split frequency operation). ➥➥Push [MAIN] to select the Main band. • The key backlight for [MAIN] lights. • The Main band's frequency readout is highlighted. ➥ Push [SUB] to select the Sub band. • The key backlight for [SUB] lights. • The Sub band's frequency readout is highlighted. 4 BASIC OPERATION [MAIN] [SUB] ■■Selecting the VFO or Memory mode ➥➥Push [V/M] to toggle between the VFO and Memory modes. • "VFO" appears when in the VFO mode, and the selected memory channel number appears when in the Memory mode. • Hold down [V/M] for 1 second to transfer the contents of the selected memory channel to the VFO. The IC-7850 has 2 identical receivers, Main and Sub.
The Main band is displayed on the left hand side, and
the Sub band is displayed on the right hand side of the
LCD. Some functions can only be applied to the se-
lected band, and transmission occurs on only the Main
band (except during split frequency operation).
Push [MAIN] to select the Main band.
• The key backlight for [MAIN] lights.
• The Main band’s frequency readout is highlighted.
Push [SUB] to select the Sub band.
• The key backlight for [SUB] lights.
• The Sub band’s frequency readout is highlighted.
Push [V/M] to toggle between the VFO and Memory
modes.
• “VFO” appears when in the VFO mode, and the selected
memory channel number appears when in the Memory
mode.
• Hold down [V/M] for 1 second to transfer the contents of
the selected memory channel to the VFO.
