Using PowerTouch III How Do I Operate Devices? Playback of the device connected to the CD2/TAPE2 MONITOR These instructions are for operating a second CD player or tape deck from a single-Zone installation or from Zone A. For more information on operating devices in a multi-Zone setup, see "Chapter Three: Using PowerTouch III in Multiple Zones". To operate a second CD player or tape deck: 1. Touch (HOME1) on the Quick Access menu. 2. Touch (CD2/TAPE2 ON/OFF). The CD2/TAPE2 MONITOR indicator on the receiver also lights up. In this condition, the device connected to the CD2/TAPE2 inputs can be monitored. Each touch of toggles its condition between ON and OFF. After completing playback of the device connected to the CD2/TAPE2 MONITOR, be sure to set this condition to OFF. 3. Touch . The commands appear for the device you connected to this jack set and identified to PowerTouch III. 4. Use the available commands as your CD player or tape deck remote. Touch (More) to access any customized commands you have taught PowerTouch III for this device. Touch the command to use it. For more information on teaching commands to PowerTouch III, see "To Customize the PowerTouch III Screen" on page 43 of the Connections and Setup Guide. To select the input on the receiver, use the CD2/TAPE2 MONITOR button inside the door. The CD2/TAPE2 MONITOR indicator lights up when it is selected. After completion of playback, press the CD2/ TAPE2 MONITOR button again so that the CD2/TAPE2 MONITOR indicator goes out. 39

How Do I Operate Devices?

These instructions are for operating a second CD player or tape deck

To operate a second CD player or tape deck:
1.
Touch
(HOME1) on the Quick Access menu.
2.
Touch
(CD2/TAPE2 ON/OFF). The
CD2/TAPE2 MONITOR
indicator on the receiver also lights up. In this condition, the device
connected to the
CD2/TAPE2
inputs can be monitored.
Each touch of

and
OFF

After completing playback of the device connected to the
CD2/TAPE2
MONITOR
, be sure to set this condition to
OFF
.
3.
Touch
