The rules for the content of the useful data, i.e. the primary and secondary information, are described above in the syntax for controlling with PCL. They apply likewise in the case of a request issued from PRESCRIBE, with the difference that the primary information is formed with XBCP while the secondary information lies in the useful data. For the example below the same data are used as in the previous PCL example. XBCP 0,8; Reset and selection of MaxiCode. This command must appear before each MaxiCode request issued from PRESCRIBE. XBCP 1,#; # stands for the MaxiCode mode; in the Barcode Flash solution, modes 2 through 6 are available. XBCP 2,#; For Structured Append mode: within a group of symbols, the sequential number of the symbol currently to be printed must be entered here. In the absence of this parameter, 1 is used as standard. XBCP 3,#; For Structured Append mode: the total number of symbols in the group of symbols currently to be printed must be entered here. In the absence of this parameter, the Barcode Flash solution assumes only one symbol as standard. 51
