Options include memory modules, storage devices, network cards, port replicators or docking stations, batteries, power adapters, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, and more. You can shop at Lenovo 24 hours a day, 7 days a week directly over the World Wide Web. All you need is an Internet connection and a credit card. Using the Serial Ultrabay Enhanced feature Use the Serial Ultrabay Enhanced bay for installing devices, such as a MultiBurner drive, a DVD-ROM drive, and a hard disk drive. Various Serial Ultrabay Enhanced devices are available as options at http://www.lenovo.com/accessories. Notes: • Depending on your computer model, the Serial Ultrabay Enhanced bay of your computer supports: - 9.5-mm-thick Serial Ultrabay Slim device - 12.7-mm-thick Serial Ultrabay Enhanced device • You can insert either of the above devices into the Serial Ultrabay Enhanced bay of your computer in one of the following conditions: - The computer is turned off. See "Replacing the Ultrabay device" on page 69. - The computer is working or in sleep mode. See "Performing a hot or a warm swap" on page 93. Performing a hot or a warm swap Your computer supports both hot swap and warm swap for the Ultrabay devices. Performing a hot swap To do a hot swap is to connect, remove, or reconnect a device while the computer is operating. Notes: • Hot-swap is not supported when your computer is docked or when the extended life battery is installed. • If a hard disk password is set, you cannot hot-swap the drive. Finding ThinkPad options

Performing a hot or a warm swap
Your computer supports both hot swap and warm swap for the Ultrabay devices.
Performing a hot swap
