28 Playback Options Forward and Reverse Searching (SP/LP/SLP) 1 During tape playback, press and release F.FWD/B or REW(ind)/{. A fast forward or reverse picture search will begin. Some horizontal noise lines may appear. 2 To return to normal play, press PLAY/v. High Speed Searching (LP/SLP) 1 During tape playback, press F.FWD/B or REW(ind)/{, then press again. The TV/VCR will search the tape in high speed. Some horizontal noise lines may appear. Press F.FWD/B or REW(ind)/{ repeatedly to switch between regular and high speed searching. 2 To return to normal play, press PLAY/v. Viewing a Still Picture 1 During tape playback, press PAUSE/STILL. A still picture will appear on the screen. Press PAUSE/STILL repeatedly to advance the picture one frame at a time. Press CH(annel) v/w to steady the still picture. 2 To release the still picture and return to normal play, press PLAY/v. Viewing a Slow Motion Picture 1 During tape playback, press SLOW. The tape will play in slow motion. Reduce noise lines by pressing CH(annel) v/w. 2 To release Slow mode and return to normal play, press PLAY/v. RECORD SLOW TIME SEARCH MUTE Helpful Hints • Still and Slow modes will switch to Stop mode after five minutes to protect the TV/VCR and the tape from damage. • SP/LP/SLP means this feature will work with tape segments recorded in Standard Play, Long Play, or Super Long Play. LP/SLP means this feature will work with segments recorded in Long Play and Super Long Play. For details on tape speed, see page 10. • Tapes recorded in SP will have fewer noise lines during searching. • This TV/VCR will only record tapes in SP or SLP. It will play tapes that were recorded in LP on a different device (another VCR, for example).

Playback Options
Still and Slow modes will switch to
Stop mode after five minutes to
protect the TV/VCR and the tape
from damage.
SP/LP/SLP means this feature will
work with tape segments recorded
in Standard Play, Long Play, or
Super Long Play. LP/SLP means
this feature will work with seg-
ments recorded in Long Play and
Super Long Play. For details on
tape speed, see page 10.
Tapes recorded in SP will have
fewer noise lines during searching.
This TV/VCR will only record tapes
in SP or SLP. It will play tapes that
were recorded in LP on a different
device (another VCR, for exam-
ple).
