36 Wake Up Timer The Wake Up Timer turns on the TV/VCR automatically at a specified time within the next 24 hours. You may set the TV/VCR to turn on at a TV channel or with VCR playback. Before you begin: q Set the clock. Details are on pages 16-19. If the clock is not set, you cannot set the Wake Up Timer. q Put a tape in the TV/VCR if you want to play a tape at the specified time. 1 Press SLEEP/WAKE UP until WAKE UP TIMER appears. WAKE UP B ON/OFF [OFF] TIMER 5 2-4 5 POWER SLEEP/WAKE UP REW PLAY STOP F.FWD MENU DISPLAY ALT.CH 123 4 5 6 CH. 789 SPEED 0 RESET +100 PAUSE/STILL VOL. RECORD SLOW TIME SEARCH MUTE 1 2 Press F.FWD/B or REW/s until ON appears. WAKE UP B ON/OFF [ON] TIMER TV/TAPE [TV] TIME [12:OOAM] 3 Press PLAY/v or STOP/wto select TV/TAPE. Press F.FWD/B or REW/s to select TV or TAPE. If you select TV, the current TV channel will be on when the TV/VCR turns on. Select TAPE to start tape playback when the TV/VCR turns on. WAKE UP TIMER ON/OFF [ON] BTV/TAPE [TV] TIME [12:OOAM] 4 Press PLAY/v or STOP/w to select TIME. Press F.FWD/B or REW/s to select your wake up time. Each button press changes the time by 10 minutes. WAKE UP ON/OFF [ON] TIMER TV/TAPE [TV] B TIME [3:3OAM] 5 Press MENU to remove the menu. Press POWER to turn off the TV/VCR. The TV/VCR will turn on at the specified time. Helpful Hint • To cancel the Wake Up Timer, press SLEEP/WAKE UP until WAKE UP TIMER appears, then press F.FWD/B or REW/s until OFF appears.
