Recommended spacing should be considered for the following reasons: ■ Additional spacing should be considered for ease of installation and servicing. ■ Additional clearances might be required for wall, door, and floor moldings. ■ Additional spacing should be considered on all sides of the dryer to reduce noise transfer. ■ For closet installation, with a door, minimum ventilation openings in the top and bottom of the door are required. 1. Remove the red cap from the gas pipe.	9
2. Using a wrench to tighten, connect the gas supply to the dryer. Use pipe-joint compound on the threads of all non-flared male fittings. If flexible metal tubing is used, be sure there are no kinks.	9
3. Open the shutoff valve in the supply line. The valve is open when the handle is parallel to the gas pipe.	9
4. Test all connections by brushing on an approved noncorrosive leak-detection solution. Bubbles will show a leak. Correct any leak found.	9

Install Vent System	12
1. Install exhaust hood. Use caulking compound to seal exterior wall opening around exhaust hood.	12
2. Connect vent to exhaust hood. Vent must fit inside exhaust hood. Secure vent to exhaust hood with 4\	12
3. Run vent to dryer location. Use the straightest path possible. See “Determine vent path” in “Plan Vent System.” Avoid 90º turns. Use clamps to seal all joints. Do not use duct tape, screws or other fastening devices that extend into the i...	12
Install Leveling Legs	12
1. To avoid damaging the floor, use a large flat piece of cardboard from the dryer carton. Place cardboard under the entire back edge of the dryer.	12
2. Firmly grasp the body of the dryer (not the console panel). Gently lay the dryer on the cardboard. See illustration.	12
3. Examine the leveling legs. Find the diamond marking.	12
4. Screw the legs into the leg holes by hand. Use a wrench to finish turning the legs until the diamond marking is no longer visible.	12
5. Place a carton corner post from dryer packaging under each of the 2 dryer back corners. Stand the dryer up. Slide the dryer on the corner posts until it is close to its final location. Leave enough room to connect the exhaust vent.	12

1. Using a 4\	12
2. Move dryer into its final location. Do not crush or kink vent.	12
3. (On gas models) Check that there are no kinks in the flexible gas line.	12
4. Once the exhaust vent connection is made, remove the corner posts and cardboard.	12
Level Dryer	12
Complete Installation	12
1. Check that all parts are now installed. If there is an extra part, go back through the steps to see which step was skipped.	12
2. Check that you have all of your tools.	12
3. Dispose of/recycle all packaging materials.	12
4. Check the dryer’s final location. Be sure the vent is not crushed or kinked.	12
5. Check that the dryer is level. See “Level Dryer.”	12
6. Remove the blue film on the console and any tape remaining on the dryer.	12
7. Wipe the dryer drum interior thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any dust.	12
8. Read the “Dryer Use” section in your Use and Care Guide.	12
9. For power supply cord installation, plug into a grounded outlet.	12
10. Check that gas supply is on.	12
11. Check for leaks.	12
12. Select a Timed Dry heated cycle, and start the dryer. Do not select the Air Only Temperature setting.	12
Reverse Door Swing	13
1. Place a towel or soft cloth on top of the dryer or work space to avoid damaging the surface.	13
1. Remove the 4 screws that hold the door hinge on the front panel of the dryer.	13
2. Lay the door assembly on a flat, protected surface with the inside (inner door assembly) facing up.	13
3. Remove the 6 Phillips head screws to release the outer door assembly from the inner door assembly, as indicated below. See illustration. It is important that you remove only the 6 indicated screws.	13
4. Lift the inner door assembly off the outer door assembly.	13
5. Rotate outer door 180°.	13
1. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to remove 2 plug strips from the inner door. Slide the head of the screwdriver under the plugs, being certain not to scratch the inner door surface. Lift up.	13
2. Remove the 4 screws that attach to the inner door hinge and move the hinge to the other side. Reinstall the 4 screws.	13
3. Reinstall plug strips on opposite side of the inner door.	13
4. Check for fingerprints on the glass. Clean glass if necessary.	13
5. Place the inner door assembly inside the outer door assembly. To fit correctly, the inner door assembly edge fits completely inside the outer door assembly edge.	13
6. Reassemble the inner and outer door assemblies with the 6 screws.	13
1. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to remove plug strip from the dryer door opening. Slide the head of the screwdriver under the plugs, being certain not to scratch the dryer surface. Lift up.	13

3. Insert strike on the opposite side.	14

1. Installer le clapet d’évacuation. Utiliser du composé de calfeutrage pour sceller l’ouverture murale à l’extérieur autour du clapet d’évacuation.	26

Installation des pieds de nivellemenT	26
1. Afin d’éviter d’endommager le plancher, utiliser une grande pièce de carton de la boîte de la sécheuse. Placer la pièce de carton sous toute la longueur du bord arrière de la sécheuse.	26
2. Saisir fermement la sécheuse par la caisse (ni par le dessus ni par le panneau de commande). Déposer délicatement la sécheuse sur le carton. Voir l’illustration.	26
3. Examiner les pieds de nivellement. Trouver le symbole de repérage (losange).	26
4. Engager manuellement les pieds dans les trous prévus à cet effet. Utiliser une clé à molette pour visser les pieds jusqu'à ce que le symbole de repérage (losange) ne soit plus visible.	26
5. Placer une cornière en carton sous chacun des deux coins arrière de la sécheuse. Placer la sécheuse debout. Glisser la sécheuse sur les cornières jusqu’à ce que l’appareil soit proche de son emplacement final. Laisser assez d’espace p...	26

1. Vérifier que toutes les pièces sont maintenant installées. S’il reste une pièce, passer en revue les différentes étapes pour découvrir laquelle aurait été oubliée.	27
2. Vérifier la présence de tous les outils.	27
3. Jeter ou recycler tous les matériaux d’emballage.	27
4. Vérifier l’emplacement définitif de la sécheuse. S’assurer que le conduit d’évacuation n’est pas écrasé ou pincé.	27
5. Vérifier que la sécheuse est d’aplomb. Voir “Réglage de l’aplomb de la sécheuse”.	27
6. Retirer la pellicule de bleue ou tout ruban adhésif resté sur la sécheuse.	27
7. Essuyer soigneusement l’intérieur du tambour de la sécheuse avec un chiffon humide pour éliminer toute trace de poussière.	27
8. Lire “Utilisation de la sécheuse”en la Instructions d’utilisation de la laveuse.	27
9. Pour l’installation avec cordon d’alimentation, brancher sur une prise reliée à la terre.	27
10. Vérifier que l’alimentation en gaz est ouverte.	27

12. Sélectionner un programme minuté avec séchage à chaud et mettre la sécheuse en marche. Ne pas sélectionner le réglage Air Only (air seulement).	27
Inversion du sens d’ouverture de la porte	27
1. Placer une serviette ou un linge doux sur le dessus de la sécheuse ou du plan de travail pour empêcher d'endommager la surface.	27
1. Enlever les 4 vis qui maintiennent la charnière de la porte sur le panneau avant de la sécheuse.	27

2. Ôter les 4 vis qui fixent la charnière de la porte interne et déplacer la charnière de l'autre côté. Réinstaller les 4 vis.	28
3. Réinstaller les tringles des pitons d'obturation des trous sur le côté opposé de la porte interne.	28
4. Vérifier s'il y a des traces de doigts sur le verre. Nettoyer le verre au besoin.	28
5. Placer la partie interne de la porte à l'intérieur de la partie externe. Pour une bonne installation, le bord de la partie interne de la porte doit se trouver complètement à l'intérieur du bord de la partie externe de la porte.	28
6. Assembler de nouveau les parties interne et externe de la porte avec les 6 vis.	28
