Shooting in Each Exposure Mode-continued A: Aperture-Priority Auto Enables you to manually set the desired aperture. The camera automatically selects a suitable shutter speed to give you the correct , exposure. By varying the aperture, and thus controlling the depth of field, you can make the background and foreground sharper, or blur the background. In flash photography, varying the aperture changes the flash shooting distance. For available mode combinations, see page 68. 1 Set the exposure mode dial to A, then set the aperture using the Command Dial. If the warning indication persists, use the Speedlight. • To set aperture in Long Time Exposure (Time or Bulb), set the exposure mode dial to A. For details, see pages 50, 61.
