Get started system. Your Nokia device supports the FAT16 and FAT32 file system for memory cards. MicroSDHC This device uses microSD and microSDHC memory cards. To ensure interoperability, use only compatible memory cards with this device. Check the compatibility of a memory card with its manufacturer or provider. Other memory cards than microSD and microSDHC cards are not compatible with this device. Using an incompatible memory card may damage the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the incompatible card may be corrupted. Use a memory card To format a memory card for your device, select Options > Format memory card. When a memory card is formatted, all data on the card is lost permanently. Consult your retailer to find out if you must format the memory card before you can use it. To change the name of the memory card, select Options > Memory card name. Write text Traditional text input Your device has a full keyboard. You can enter punctuation marks by pressing the corresponding key or a combination of keys. To switch between the different character cases, press the shift key. On the display, , , and indicate the selected character case. To insert digits or characters printed at the top of keys, press and hold the corresponding key, or press and hold the function key and press the corresponding key. To enter only the characters printed at the top of keys, press the function key twice quickly. To erase a character, press the backspace key. To erase several characters, press and hold the backspace key. To insert characters that are not shown on the keypad, press the chr key. To copy text, press and hold the shift key, and scroll to highlight the word, phrase, or line of text you want to copy. Press ctrl + c. To insert the text into a document, move to the correct place, and press ctrl + v. To change the writing language, or to switch on the predictive text input, press the function key + spacebar, and select from the available options. The input methods provided in the device may vary according to different sales markets. 22 Predictive text input To activate predictive text input, press the function key + spacebar and select Predictive text > On.
