ASPECT SHOOTING When the aspect ratio for shooting is set to a setting other than [4:3], select whether the setting is effective only when taking pictures using live view, or anytime when taking pictures using the viewfinder or live view. [LV] The setting is only effective when taking pictures using live view. [ALL] The setting is effective when taking pictures using the viewfinder or live view. x Notes • When taking pictures using the viewfinder, images are not trimmed and are recorded with the aspect ratio information at the time of shooting. During playback, images are displayed with a border based on the aspect ratio. • The aspect border is not displayed in the viewfinder. When taking pictures using the viewfinder, refer to the 6:6 diagram to the right. 16:9 Viewfinder Custom Menu 1 h RECORD/ERASE QUICK ERASE You can erase the picture you have just taken immediately using the D button. [OFF] When the D button is pressed, the confirmation screen appears, asking you if you want to erase the picture. [ON] Pressing the D button erases the picture immediately. 7 RAW+JPEG ERASE You can select the method to erase images recorded in RAW+JPEG. This function can only be used to erase one frame. [JPEG] Erases all JPEG image files, leaving only the RAW image files. [RAW] Erases all RAW image files, leaving only the JPEG image files. [RAW+JPEG] Erases both image file types. x Notes • This function is effective only if deleting one frame. ASPECT SHOOTING
When the aspect ratio for shooting is set to a setting other than
[4:3]
, select whether the
setting is effective only when taking pictures using live view, or anytime when taking pictures
using the viewfinder or live view.
[LV]
The setting is only effective when taking pictures using live view.
[ALL]
The setting is effective when taking pictures using the viewfinder or live view.

Notes
When taking pictures using the viewfinder, images are not trimmed and are recorded with the
aspect ratio information at the time of shooting. During playback, images are displayed with a
border based on the aspect ratio.
The aspect border is not displayed in the viewfinder.

diagram to the right.

RECORD/ERASE
QUICK ERASE
You can erase the picture you have just taken immediately using the
D
button.
[OFF]
When the
D

you want to erase the picture.

RAW+JPEG ERASE
You can select the method to erase images recorded in RAW+JPEG. This function can only
be used to erase one frame.
[JPEG]
Erases all JPEG image files, leaving only the RAW image files.
[RAW]
Erases all RAW image files, leaving only the JPEG image files.
[RAW+JPEG]
Erases both image file types.

Notes
