Basic Using the Digital Zoom Further extending the zoom A maximum of 14.6M zoom can be achieved with the 3.6M optical zoom and the 4M digital zoom when [D.ZOOM] is set to [ON] in the [REC] mode menu. However, if a picture size that can use extended optical zoom is selected, a maximum of 21.9Mzoom can be achieved with the 5.5M extended optical zoom and the 4M digital zoom. w Menu operation 1 Press [MENU/SET]. • When a scene mode is selected, move  in the [SCENE MODE] menu (P49), move  to select the [REC] mode menu icon [ ] and then move . 2 Move  to select [D.ZOOM] and then move . 3 Move  to select [ON] and then press [MENU/SET].
