Microphone level When recording, the input level from the built-in microphones and the external microphone terminal can be adjusted. ≥ Set the AUTO/MANUAL switch to MANUAL. (l 64) 1 Select the menu. (l 29) 3 Press the cursor button to set [RECORD SETUP] # [MIC LEVEL] # [SETr ] or [SET] and then press the MENU button to finish the setting. ≥ Set to [AUTO] to return to normal setting. [AUTO]: AGC is activated, and the recording level is adjusted automatically. [SETr ]: The desired recording level can be set. AGC will also be activated to reduce the amount of sound distortion. [SET]: AGC is not activated and so natural recording can be performed. AGC: Auto Gain Control 2 Move the cursor button to adjust the microphone input level. MENU G Microphone input level meter ≥ When the AUTO/MANUAL switch is set to AUTO, [MIC LEVEL] is set to [AUTO]. ≥ When [MIC SETUP] is [ZOOM MIC], the volume will be different depending on the zoom rate. Set [MIC SETUP] to [SURROUND] (l 59) or set the microphone input level after adjusting the zoom rate. ≥ Audio becomes stereo (2 ch) when input is from an external microphone, and the front left and front right gain values only work. ≥ The microphone input level meter shows the largest volume for the microphones. ≥ You cannot record with the audio completely muted.
