This allows recording in 60i, 30p, 24p or 24pA (Advance) modes, just like AG-DVX100 series models. It also lets you down-convert an HD source (1080i/720p) recorded on a P2 card and copy it to a mini DV tape. Certainly, 720p VFR recorded material can copy to DV tape. This lets you create special speed effects during DV production - until now, a feat possible only with a complete VariCam system. External Recording with IEEE 1394 Streaming
The IEEE 1394 interface can be used to control an
