Chapter 9 Network Connection - Network connection Network connection The camera can be connected to the network via wireless LAN, wired LAN, or 4G/LTE. For details on wireless modules that can be connected, visit the support desk at the following website: http://pro-av.panasonic.net/ To use wireless LAN, attach AJ‑WM30 (optional) to the terminal. To use wired LAN, connect a LAN cable to the terminal on the rear side. To use 4G/LTE, connect a USB modem that is compliant with the terminal. IEEE802.11g/n 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T Available functions When the camera is connected to network, the following functions are available. ffChecking camera status ffChecking thumbnail images ffProxy playback ffDownloading proxy file/clip management information ffDisplaying/editing metadata ffAdding/deleting metadata (shot mark/text memo) ffCamera remote control (collective operations of recording control and time code/user bits) ffIP remote controlling the camera from the Remote Operation Panel (AK‑HRP200G) (wired LAN only) ffConnecting to P2 ROP application ffStreaming function Operating environment The following operating environment is required to connect to network. ffWindows Microsoft Windows® 8.1 Professional 32/64 bit, Internet Explorer 11 (classic view) ffMacintosh Mac OS X v10.9.x (Mavericks)*, Safari 7 * Operation is guaranteed only when preinstalled or clean installed. ffiPad/iPhone iOS v7.x Web browser A Web browser is required to perform web control. ffFor the latest information on the supported browsers, visit the following website: http://pro-av.panasonic.net/ Media player QuickTime is required for proxy video playback. To display streaming video using the P2 Browser, VLC Media Player is required for Windows OS and QuickTime Player is required for Mac OS. ffFor the latest information on the versions that are operation tested, visit the following website: http://pro-av.panasonic.net/ Java run time On computers, Java run time is used for the camera status display.
