When a call is received, the unit rings for a short time*1 while the caller is being identified. If the phone number matches an entry in the call block list, the unit emits no sound to the caller, and disconnects the call. (Caller ID subscribers only) *1 This is called first ring. If you do not want the first ring to sound, turn this setting to "Off" (page 29). Important: R When the unit receives a call from a number that is stored in the call block list or a call without a recognized phone number, the call is logged in the caller list (page 34) with after the call is disconnected. Storing unwanted callers You can store up to 100 phone numbers in the call block list. Important: R You must store the phone number with an area code in the call block list. n From the caller list: 1 MCN CID 2 MbN: Select the entry to be blocked. a MDetailN R To edit the number: MMenuN a MbN: "Edit" a MSelectN Press MEditN repeatedly until the phone number is shown in the 10-digit format. And then, press MSaveN. Go to step 5. 3 MMenuN 4 MbN: "Save CID" a MSelectN 5 MbN: "Call block" a MSelectN 6 MbN: "Yes" a MSelectN 7 Edit the phone number if necessary (24 digits max.). 8 MSaveN a MOFFN n By entering phone numbers: 1 MMenuN (right soft key) #217 2 MMenuN a MbN: "Add" a MSelectN Programming 3 Enter the phone number (24 digits max.). 4 MSaveN a MOFFN Blocking incoming calls without phone number You can reject a call when no phone number is provided, such as a call just showing "Out of area". 1 MMenuN (right soft key) #240 2 MbN: Select the desired setting. a MSaveN 3 MOFFN Setting the first ring for the call block list If you do not want the first ring from a number on the call block list to sound, turn the first ring setting to "Off".
