Problem Printing time is unusually long. There is a noise during printing. The printer printed a different number of copies than selected. • Unsatisfactory print quality • Horizontal lines appear across the printed image. • Paper jams occur frequently. • Paper does not feed. Cause and Remedy • Printing will require additional time when printing more than 2 sheets in succession or when the printer's internal temperature is excessively high. • The printer makes noise when the ink and paper are being fed out during printing. This is normal. • When printing using DPOF settings, only the number of copies set by DPOF will be printed. • Even if the number of copies has been set to each image when selecting images, only one copy will be printed if "All Images" or " Index" is selected. • Are you using different paper than that which is indicated? Insert the paper exclusive for this printer. • Does the ink sheet have slack? Flatten out the ink sheet. • Have you inserted the paper with the wrong side facing up? Make sure that you insert the paper with the print side (glossy surface) facing up. • Print quality may be poor if there is condensation 1 due to a difference in temperatures. Wait for approximately 2 hours from the time the printer's power was turned on before attempting to resume printing. • Are the thermal heads dirty? Clean the thermal heads 2. • Have you loaded more than 18 sheets of paper (or more than 20 sheets of wide size paper) in the paper cassette? Reduce the number of sheets. • Have you inserted curled paper? Do not use curled paper. Page 10 - 40 36 38 18 22 20 96 96 20 - Others 95 Continued on next page
