Using sound effects Using sound effects SRD MUSIC SUBWOOFER LEVEL EQ AUTO AUTO, TEST + VOLUME [PT1050] SRD ENH , , , PL /S.SRD [PT1050] H.BASS C.FOCUS CH SELECT [Note] ≥ The following sound effects may not be available or have no effect with some sources, or when headphones are used (➜ page 13). ≥ You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these sound effects are used with some sources. If this occurs, turn the sound effects off. Using the equalizer function To enjoy the following sound quality settings, ensure that Surround Music (➜ below) is turned off. Press [EQ]. Each time you press the button: FLAT: Cancel (no effect is added) (factory preset). HEAVY: Adds punch to rock. CLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds. SOFT: For background music. ≥ To check the current setting, press [EQ]. Enjoying sound from all speakers: Surround Music The sound fills the room, and comes from all directions with equal intensity. Press [SRD MUSIC]. Each time you press the button: S.MUSIC ON,------.S.MUSIC OFF Enhancing the sound from the C.FOCUS center speaker: Center Focus This applies to discs where the dialogue is recorded in the center channel. You can make the sound of the center speaker seem like it is coming from within the television. Press [C.FOCUS]. Each time you press the button: C FOCUS ON,------.C FOCUS OFF ≥ This does not work when Surround Music (➜ left) is turned on. ≥ This also works when Dolby Pro Logic II is turned on. Enhancing the stereo sound: Dolby Pro Logic II/Super Surround Depending on the source, you can enhance the stereo sound with Dolby Pro Logic II or Super Surround to enjoy the surround sound effect.
