Note: • When a recording with higher priority than manual recording is being performed, manual recording will be suspended until that recording finishes. Refer to the "Recording mode and its priority level" section below for further information about the priority of the recording mode. • When trying to stop manual recording by holding down the [REC] button for 2 seconds or more while another recording with a different recording mode (emergency recording, event recording and schedule recording) is being performed, the [REC] indicator (on the [REC] button) will remain lit and the other recording will continue. • No image will be recorded when no image data is being sent from the camera. When image data is sent, recording will start. • Images (data) recorded by manual recording or schedule recording will be divided into multiple files every hour on the hour. In that moment, recording may sometimes be interrupted around for 1 second. Recording mode and its priority level There are 5 recording modes. The recording modes and their priority levels are as follows. When two or more recordings with different recording modes started simultaneously, only recording with the higher priority will start. Recording mode Priority level Emergency recording 1 Post-event recording 2 Manual rec. operation 3 Schedule recording 4 Pre-event recording 5 Emergency recording Recording that is performed manually using an external switch, etc. when an emergency occurs. For example, when an external switch is installed at the reception area, it is possible to start recording by pressing the installed external switch if a receptionist thinks suspicious about a person around the reception area, etc. Step 1 Press the external switch to start recording. → The [REC] button will light and the emergency recording will start. Step 2 When the set recording duration has passed, the emergency recording will automatically stop. The recording duration for the emergency recording can be set on the setup menu ("Recording duration" on the "Emergency recording" tab under "Basic" (☞ Installation Guide)). Note: • The emergency recording is the recording mode with the highest priority. Even when another recording is being performed, the emergency recording will be performed prior to that recording. • When "Continue" is selected for "Recording duration" (☞ Installation Guide) on the "Emergency recording" tab under "Emergency recording" of the setup menu, it is necessary to press the [ALARM RESET ] button to stop the emergency recording. The [REC] button will go off and recording will stop. 37
