3. Press 5. Restore Phone. 4. A confirmation message appears in the display, select Yes, and then press the Key. 5. After reading the message that appears, press the Key. 6. Enter the four-digit lock code. The phone will turn off and then back on again automatically. SIM SECURITY The Security menu allows you to electronically secure the SIM. The default lock code is the last 4 digits of your phone number. PIN CODE To lock PIN code: 1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [MENU], then press 9. Settings & Tools, 7. Phone Settings, 9. SIM Security. 2. Enter the four-digit lock code and press the Key. 3. Press 1. PIN Code, 1. PIN Lock. 4. Select one of the following settings, then press the Key [SET]. • Unlocked: Unlock PIN code. • Locked: If entered PIN code id correct, PIN is locked. To edit PIN code: 1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [MENU], then press 9. Settings & Tools, 7. Phone Settings, 9. SIM Security. 2. Enter the four-digit lock code and press the Key. 3. Press 1. PIN Code, 2. Edit PIN Code. 4. Enter the current lock code again. 5. Enter New PIN code and Re-enter PIN code, then press the Key [OK]. SIM LOCK Lock the SIM. 104 1. Select one of the following settings, then press the Key [SET]. 02 • Unlocked: If entered SIM code id correct, SIM is unlocked. • Locked: Lock SIM code. 03 GLOBAL DATA ROAMING 04 To select whether to access data roaming during trips: 1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [MENU], then press 05 9. Settings & Tools, 7. Phone Settings, 0. Global Data Roaming. 06 2. Select Allow access for all trips, Allow access only for this trip or Deny data roaming access, then press the Key [SET]. 07 D ata access during trips outside the local may result in significantly higher charger. SYSTEM SELECT You can set your phone to search or roam on another network when you are not in your home area. Leave this setting as default unless you want to alter the system selection as instructed by your service provider. 1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [MENU], then press 9. Settings & Tools, 7. GSM Settings, then press the Key. • Network Mode: F or Network Mode, select CDMA Mode, GSM Mode or Global Mode and press the Key [SET]. • CDMA Settings: F or CDMA Mode select Automatic A, Automatic B, or Home Only, then press the Key [SET]. • GSM Settings: For GSM Mode, select Automatic A, Automatic B, or Manual, then press the Key [SET].
