Powering the Camera Installing the Battery 1 Use the rechargeable lithium-ion battery D-LI78 that is provided with the camera. Getting Started Battery/ card cover Battery Battery lock lever 1 Make sure that the camera is turned off and open the battery/card cover. Slide the battery/card cover in the direction indicated by the arrow 1 and flip the cover open 2. 2 Push the battery lock lever in the direction of the arrow 3 and insert the battery so that the PENTAX logo is facing toward the screen display. Match the marks on the battery to the marks inside the battery compartment and push the battery in until it is locked in place. Make sure that the battery is inserted with the PENTAX logo facing toward the screen display. If the battery is incorrectly oriented, malfunction may result. 31
