Taking Pictures Using the Face Detection Function With the Optio S1, the Face Detection function is available with all shooting modes. When the camera detects a person's face in the image, the Face Detection function displays a yellow face detection frame around the face on the screen display, sets the focus (Face Detection AF) and compensates the exposure (Face Detection AE).
