Pull the left end of the Àller cord to tighten it. Thread the end through a darning needle, draw to the wrong side of the fabric and cut. Note: To sew a corded buttonhole longer than 2.5 cm, use the buttonhole foot B. Hook the Àllar cord on the spur as shown in the picture, and hold it with your hand. Buttonhole with a gimp thread
With the buttonhole foot raised, hook the
cord on the cord spur (H) at the back of
the buttonhole foot.
Bring the ends toward you under the
buttonhole foot until they clear the front
end.
Hook the
