30 PROGRAMMING THE MACHINE In order to run a descaling cycle before the machine indicates the necessity to do so: 1 2 3 machine settings maintenance maintenance descaling cycle yes descaling cycle 1. 2. 1. 2. 1. 2. Insert the descaling solution and press the button to begin. 4 descaling descaling cycle When the cycle is finished the following message appears on the display: 5 fill water tank descaling cycle 6 insert tank descaling cycle The machine begins to dispense the descaling solution through the hot water spout. The dispensing occurs at preestablished intervals, in order to allow the solution to be more effective. 7 rinse cycle descaling cycle Remove the water tank, rinse with fresh drinking water to eliminate traces of descaling solution, then refill with fresh drinking water. 8 rinsing descaling cycle Insert the tank back on onto the machine. 9 done descaling cycle Rinse the machine's circuits by pressing the button. The machine performs the rinse cycle. During the rinse cycle, the machine may require the water tank to be filled. Press the button and exit the programming by pressing the button. Check the quantity of water contained in the tank and, if desired, install the water filter or reinsert the small white filter (see page 7). When descaling is complete, perform a cleaning and maintenance cycle on the milk container as described on page 39-40.
