Troubleshooting 7 Audio/DSP (continued from previous page) Symptom Occasionally no sounds are output when Dolby Pro Logic is switched on. Cause The center speaker setting is at SMALL or LARGE whereas no center speaker is installed. Remedy Change the center speaker's Size setting to OFF. (If the audio source is mono and Dolby Pro Logic is switched on, sound is heard over the center speaker only.) (See page 60.) Occasionally no sounds are heard over other speakers than the center one. Dolby Pro Logic is switched on. Set Dolby Pro Logic to OFF. (If the audio source is mono and Dolby Pro Logic is switched on, sound is heard over the center speaker only.) (See page 65.) Switching Dynamic Range Control ON has no effects. The currently reproduced sound is not Dolby Digital coded. The feature is only effective on Dolby Digital sounds. (See page 65.) 7 DVD Player (if installed) Symptom The DVD player's remote control does not operate. No sounds come from the DVD player only. Cause The remote control is not in the correct operation mode. The optical cable has become detached. The DVD player is not properly set for output. Remedy Switch the remote control to the proper mode. (See the manual for the DVD player.) Connect the cable correctly. Make the correct output setting. (See the manual for the DVD player.) 87
