Replacing Consumables Replacing the Maintenance Kit R WARNING: • When replacing the Transfer Unit, turn the main power switch off and wait at least 30 minutes before proceeding with the replacement. • When replacing the Fusing Unit, turn the main power switch off and wait at least 30 minutes before proceeding with the replacement. R CAUTION: • The inside of this printer becomes very hot. Do not touch parts labelled "v" (indicating a hot surface). ❖ When to replace the maintenance kit If the Alert indicator on the control panel lights up and the following message appears on the display, replace the fusing unit and the transcription roller: "Replace Fusing Unit" A Pull Front Cover Open Lever, and then open the front cover with both hands carefully. 6 ASI025S B Hold the levers on both sides of the fusing unit and carefully pull it out. ASI043S Place the old fusing unit on a flat surface. 92
