Options During a Call Switching the Microphone Off (Mute) You can temporarily switch your phone's microphone off so that the other person on the phone cannot hear you. Example: You wish to say something to another person in the room but do not want the person on the phone to hear you. To switch the microphone off temporarily: 1. Press the Options soft key. 2. Press the Down key to highlight the Mute option. 3. Press the OK soft key. The other person can no longer hear you. To switch the microphone back on: 1. Press the Options soft key. 2. If necessary, press the Down key to highlight the Unmute option. 3. Press the OK soft key. The other person can hear you again. 53

Switching the Microphone Off (Mute)
You can temporarily switch your phone’s
microphone off so that the other person on the
phone cannot hear you.
Example
: You wish to say something to another
person in the room but do not want the
person on the phone to hear you.
To switch the microphone off temporarily:
1.
Press the
Options
soft key.
2.
Press the Down key to highlight the
Mute
option.
3.
Press the
OK
soft key.
The other person can no longer hear you.
To switch the microphone back on:
1.
Press the
Options
soft key.
2.
If necessary, press the Down key to highlight the
Unmute
option.
3.
Press the
OK
soft key.
The other person can hear you again.
