4. Touch the Keypad tone drop-down and select one of the following tones: • Beep • TouchWiz 5. Touch the Power on type field, select one of the following and touch Save: • Melody: the phone plays the selected Power on melody. • Vibration: the phone vibrates but does not play a melody. • Vibration & melody: the phone vibrates and plays a melody simultaneously. • Mute: the phone is silent and does not play a melody or vibrate. 6. Touch the Power off type field, select one of the following and touch Save: • Melody: the phone plays the selected Power off melody. • Vibration: the phone vibrates but does not ring. • Vibration & melody: the phone vibrates and plays a melody simultaneously. • Mute: the phone is silent and does not play a melody or vibrate. 7. Touch the Phone sound volume field, then touch and drag the slider to the volume level you desire (range is 0-7). 8. Touch Save to return to the Sound Profiles menu. Silent Silent mode is convenient when you wish to stop the phone from making noise, in a theater for example. All sounds are muted when the phone is set to Silent mode. 1. From Idle mode, touch Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Sound Profiles. 2. Touch Silent. All sound tones are now changed to Silent. 145
