Section 5 Entering Symbols Entering Symbols Symbol mode allows you to enter symbols by pressing the key labeled with the letter you want. When in a text message screen, press the soft key to access the Symbol mode. The Symbol screen displays the available symbols for each key. Use the Up or Down Navigation keys to cycle through all available symbols. 1. To select a symbol, press the corresponding number key. 2. To display more symbols, press the Up or Down Navigation key. 3. To clear the symbol(s), press the key. When the input field is empty, this key returns the display to the previous mode. 4. To insert the symbol(s) into your message, press the OK soft key or the key. Using Numbers Number mode allows you to enter numbers by pressing the key labeled with the number you want.
