Broadcast Messages (SIM Dependent) Broadcast Messages (SIM Dependent) This network service allows you to receive text messages on various topics, such as the weather or traffic. Cell Broadcast (CB) messages display as soon as they are received, provided that: • the phone is in Idle mode. • the Receive option is set to Enable. • the message channel is currently active on the channel list. Chat Chat allows you to participate in a synchronous exchange of remarks with one or more people using your handset. Settings You can set up various options for using messaging services. 1. In Idle mode, press the Menu soft key to access Menu mode. 2. Select Messaging and highlight Settings. Press the Select soft key or the key. 3. Select the type of messages for which you want to change. Press the Select soft key or the key. Text Message The following options are available: • Service Center: allows you to store or change the number of your message center, which is required when sending messages. This network service allows you to receive text messages
