Calling Emergency Numbers You can place calls to 911 (dial ), even if your phone is locked or your account is restricted. Note: When you place an emergency call, your phone automatically enters Emergency mode. During an emergency call select Options (right softkey) to display your options. ⅷ Speaker On to activate the speakerphone mode. (If you are already in speakerphone mode, Speaker Off will be displayed.) ⅷ Unlock My Phone to unlock your phone (appears only if the phone is locked). ⅷ Close Menu to close the pop-up menu (appears only if the phone is unlocked). Tip: Select MyPhone (left softkey) to display your phone number during an emergency call. To exit Emergency mode: 1. Press to end a 911 call. 2. Select Options (right softkey) to display the Options menu. 3. Select Exit Emergency. Note: When you are in Emergency mode, you can exit only from the Options menu. 34 Section 2A: Phone Basics
