Error messages Meaning B a t t EMPTY l The battery run down. (Lo BAT-T) BLANK DISC (BLANK) Can't COPY (Not REC) Can't EDIT l Nothing is recorded. l No copy can be made because of the SCMS copyright system. l A track cannot be edited Can't REC (Not REC) Can't WRITE DEFECT (DEFECT) l Recording cannot be performed correctly due to vibration or shock in the unit l Editing is impossible. l The disc is scratched. Din U N L O C K (UNLOCK) DISC FULL l Poor connection of the digital cable. l The disc IS out of recording space. Remedy l Charge the rechargeable battery or replace the alkaline battery (or use the AC adaptor for p o w e r l Replace the disc with a recorded disc. l Record using the analog cable. l Change the stop position of the track and then try editing It. l Re-record or replace It with another recordable disc l Check the number of tracks. l If the sound you hear is not right, try recording again l replace the disc with another recordable d i s c l Connect the digital cable securely. l Replace it with another recordable disc.
