Advanced operations Using alternative power sources You can choose any of the following power sources for your camcorder: battery pack, house current and 12/24 V car battery. Choose the appropriate power source depending on where you want to use your camcorder. This means that the battery pack cannot supply any power if the power cord is connected to the DC IN jack, even when the power cord is not plugged into a wall outlet. 24

•Disconnecting the power source or removing the battery pack during recording or
playback may damage the inserted tape.
