Resuming Playback From the Point Where You Stopped the Disc (Multi-disc Resume) The player stores the point where you stopped the disc for up to 6 discs and resumes playback the next time you insert the same disc. If you store a resume playback point for the 7th disc, the resume playback point for the first disc is deleted. 1 While playing a disc, press x to stop playback. "Disc resumes from this point" appears on the screen. 2 Press N. The player starts playback from the point where you stopped the disc in step 1. z Hint To play from the beginning of the disc, press x twice, then press N. ~ • "MULTI-DISC RESUME" in "CUSTOM SETUP" must be set to "ON" (default) for this function to work (page 41). • The point where you stopped playing is cleared when: - you change the play mode. - you change the settings on the Setup Display. • For DVD-VR mode, CDs, DATA CDs, and DATA DVDs, the player remembers the resume playback point for the current disc. The resume point is cleared when: - you eject the disc. - the player enters stanby mode by powering off the TV. - the player enters standby mode (DATA CD/DATA DVD only). • Resume Play does not work during Shuffle Play and Program Play. • This function may not work with some discs. • If "MULTI-DISC RESUME" in "CUSTOM SETUP" is set to "ON" and you playback a recorded disc such as DVD-RW, the player may playback other recorded discs from the same resume point. Using the DVD's Menu A DVD VIDEO is divided into long sections of a picture or a music feature called "titles." 1 OPTIONS Press to access the DVD Menu or to access the Top Menu. The disc's menu appears on the TV screen. The contents of the menu vary from disc to disc. 2 Press B/V/v/b to highlight the item you want to play or change. 3 Press . Selecting "ORIGINAL" or "PLAY LIST" in DVD-VR mode Some DVD-VR (Video Recording) mode have two types of titles for playback: originally recorded titles (ORIGINAL) and titles that can be created on recordable DVD players for editing (PLAY LIST). Attaching the DVD Player to Your TV	13
1 Insert the guide pins on the bracket into the guide holes on the TV. The holes on the bracket should align to the holes on the TV.	13
2 Insert the two plastic fasteners (supplied) into the holes, then press in the head of the fasteners until they click.	13
3 Slide the DVD player onto the bracket with the DVD slot facing the outer edge of the TV.	13
1 With the bracket fully extended, insert the guide pins on the bracket into the guide holes on the TV. The holes on the bracket should align to the holes on the TV.	15
2 Insert the 2 plastic fasteners (supplied) into the holes, then press in the head of the fasteners until they click.	15
3 Slide the bracket so that the viewing window covers the corresponding number (see the illustrations and table on the previous page). If the viewing window indicates Bracket Setting 2, be sure to use a Velcro strip (supplied); see previous page.	15
4 Align the slider on the bottom of the receiver unit with the groove of the installation bracket.	15
5 Slide down the DVD player onto the bracket with the DVD slot facing the outer edge of the TV. Before proceeding to the next step, make sure that you are satisfied with the position of the DVD player in relation to the TV.	15
6 Secure the location of the sliding bracket by screwing the Thumb Screw into the screw point located just beneath the viewing window. If Bracket Setting 2 is used, peel off the arrow label by pulling downwards, and firmly press the bracket onto the TV.	15

1 Connect the L-shaped end of the HDMI cable (supplied) to the HDMI OUT on the DVD player, then connect the straight end of the HDMI cable to any HDMI IN on the TV 1.	16
2 Connect the supplied AC adapter with AC power cord between the DC IN 12V and the nearest wall outlet 3.	16
3 For models with XMB™ menu only: Connect the supplied USB cable between the DVD player’s DMex port and the DMex/SERVICE port on the TV 2.	16

Resuming Playback From

The player stores the point where you stopped the disc

for up to 6 discs and resumes playback the next time

you insert the same disc. If you store a resume playback

point for the 7th disc, the resume playback point for the
