Receiving calls (continued) Notes • Even when you set "RINGER VOL" on the base phone to "OFF", the cordless handset will ring when the RING switch on the cordless handset is set to ON. • If there is an incoming call during intercom conversation, intercom call will be disconnected, and both the base phone and the cordless handset will ring. Tips • To inform you of an incoming call, the display shows "** RINGING **" even when you set "RINGER VOL" on the base phone to "OFF". • You can switch between phone conversations via the handset and those via the speakerphone, simply by picking up the handset while talking over the speakerphone, or by pressing (SPEAKERPHONE) while talking over the handset. 38US Basics
