MENU ITEM WHAT IT DOES Ka Band Attenuation (Advanced Mode only) Set the Ka Band attenuation (detection sensitivity) level that the DFR9 will recognize in 20% decrements from 100% to 40%. (See page 20 for details). GPS (Highway or City mode on) Determines your geographic location. GPS always displays. Its associated menus display if GPS = On. Speed Camera Notifies you if any speed cameras (GPS on) are nearby. SETTINGS 100% (Default) 80% 60% 40% On (Default) Off If GPS = Off, then Voice menu displays next. On (Default) Off Red Light Camera (GPS on) RLC Q-Ride (GPS on) Voice Ka Frequency Voice X Band K Band Notifies you if any red light cameras are nearby. Red Light Camera Quiet Ride Mutes red light camera alarms if you drive over the speed limit set here. Turns voice alert on or off under the following conditions: • Type of radar/laser • Band alarms If Voice is turned off, a chime sounds during alerts. Turns Voice Alert on for Ka frequencies. Turn off to have the detector ignore X Band frequencies (Highway only). Turn off to have the detector ignore K Band frequencies.
