The current Serial ATA interface allows up to 150MB/s data transfer rate, faster than the standard parallel ATA with 133 MB/s (Ultra DMA). SATA1-2 Digital Audio Connectors: S/PDIF These connectors for connecting the Sony Philips Digital Interface (S/PDIF) bracket. The S/PDIF output provides digital audio to external speakers or compressed AC3 data to an external Dolby Digital Decoder. The feature is available only with stereo system that has digital output function.
