Telephone operation Call log If you subscribe to caller ID service, information about each caller appears after the first or second ring. If you answer a call before the caller information appears on the screen, it will not be saved in the call log. • The call log stores up to 50 entries. Each entry has up to 24 digits for the phone number and 15 characters for the name. If the phone number has more than 15 but fewer than 24 digits, only the last 15 digits appear. If the name has more than 15 characters, only the first 15 characters are shown and saved in the call log. • You can review, redial, and copy an entry into the directory. • Entries appear in reverse chronological order. • When the call log is full, the oldest entry is deleted to make room for new incoming call information. • XX MISSED CALL(S) shows when there are new call log entries (including missed and unreviewed calls). HANDSET X XX MISSED CALLS • CALL LOG EMPTY shows when there are no records in the call log. • Only one handset can review the call log at a time. If a CALL LOG EMPTY handset tries to enter the call log while another handset is already in it, NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME appears. The caller ID information might not be available for every incoming call. The callers might intentionally block their names and/or telephone numbers. For call log entries with numbers between 16 and 23 digits, in order to view the entire number, you must save the entry to the directory (see page 26). If the phone number has more than 24 digits, it is not saved or shown in the call log. 24
