CUSTOM MODE: You can dispense water by the ounce, cup, or liter. Default, minimum, and maximum volumes are listed below. To dispense a volume not listed in the table below, you must use Custom mode. Units Ounces Liters Pre-set Volumes 16, 20, 24, 33 0.5, 0.6, 0.75, 1.0 3. Press UNITS to select your desired setting. 4. Press the PLUS (+) and MINUS (-) buttons to adjust the volume as desired. NOTE: Most coffee cups (commonly 4 to 6 ounces per cup) are not the same size as a measuring cup (8 ounces). You may need to adjust the volume to avoid unintentionally overfilling coffee cups. 5. To dispense water, press a sturdy glass against the water dispenser pad OR place the glass below the water dispenser and press the WATER button. NOTE: While dispensing water, the digital display will count down how much water remains to be dispensed, according to the volume you selected. The flow of water will automatically stop once the desired volume has been dispensed. 6. To stop dispensing before the selected volume has been dispensed, remove the glass from the dispenser pad OR press the WATER button a second time. NOTE: If you stop dispensing before the desired volume has been dispensed, the digital display will continue to show how much water remains to be dispensed. The display will turn off after one minute of inactivity. To select a new volume or select the same volume again, you must first finish dispensing the selected volume, or turn the Measured Fill feature off and then turn it back on. Rotating Faucet and Pull-out Tray (on some models) Your dispenser may include a rotating water faucet and a small pull-out tray at the bottom of the dispenser. A B A. Faucet rotated 180° B. Pull-out tray s The faucet rotates up to 180° to allow for easy dispensing into large containers. Rotate it by pressing PUSH HERE, located on the right-hand side of the faucet as shown. NOTE: When using the dispenser with the faucet rotated, do not use the water dispenser pad. Only use the WATER button to dispense. Dispensing by pressing the container against the water dispenser pad may result in unintentional spilling. s The tray can be pulled out 2" (5.08 cm) to better support large containers. It is designed to catch small spills and allow for easy cleaning. There is no drain in the tray. NOTE: The tray can be removed from the dispenser and carried to the sink to be emptied or cleaned. Pull the tray out until it hits the stop, then gently lift up on the back of the tray and slide it out the rest of the way. The Ice Dispenser Ice dispenses from the ice maker storage bin in the freezer when the dispenser pad is pressed. The dispensing system will not operate when the freezer door is open. To turn off the ice maker, see "Ice Maker & Storage Bin." Before dispensing ice, select which type of ice you prefer by pressing the CUBED or CRUSHED button. For crushed ice, cubes are crushed before being dispensed. This may cause a slight delay when dispensing crushed ice. Noise from the ice crusher is normal, and pieces of ice may vary in size. When changing from crushed to cubed, a few ounces of crushed ice will be dispensed along with the first cubes. To Dispense Ice: 1. Press the button to select the desired type of ice. 2. Press a sturdy glass against the ice dispenser pad. Hold the glass close to the dispenser opening so ice does not fall outside of the glass. IMPORTANT: You do not need to apply a lot of pressure to the pad in order to activate the ice dispenser. Pressing hard will not make the ice dispense faster or in greater quantities. 3. Remove the glass to stop dispensing. NOTE: Ice may continue to dispense for up to 10 seconds after removing the glass from the pad. The dispenser may continue to make noise for a few seconds after dispensing. The Dispenser Light (on some models) When you use the dispenser, the light will automatically turn on. If you want the light to be on continuously, you may choose either ON or NIGHT LIGHT. ON: Press LIGHT to turn the dispenser light on. NIGHT LIGHT: Press LIGHT a second time to select the Night Light. The dispenser light will automatically adjust to become brighter as the room brightens, dimmer as the room darkens. OFF: Press LIGHT a third time to turn the dispenser light off. The dispenser lights are LEDs that can not be changed. If it appears that your dispenser lights are not working, be sure that the light sensor is not blocked (in Night Light mode). See "Troubleshooting" for more information. The Dispenser Lock (on some models) Your dispenser can be turned off for easy cleaning or to prevent unintentional dispensing by small children and pets. NOTE: The lock feature does not shut off power to the product, to the ice maker, or to the dispenser light. It simply deactivates the ice and water dispensers. To turn off the ice maker, see "Ice Maker & Storage Bin." Press and hold LOCKOUT for 3 seconds to lock the dispenser. Press and hold LOCKOUT a second time to unlock the dispenser. 7
