In order to ensure proper operation for the best possible performance, please read this manual thoroughly before connecting your new MCX-10 and turning it on. IMPORTANT! Let the MCX-10 control your favorite audio devices, and you will have a linked music system at your command. The Yamaha Custom Installation System is full of exciting features for your family entertainment. 1. You can control Yamaha or any other audio devices by the MCX-10 as long as they have an infrared remote control compatibility. 2. All the basic operations such as turning speakers on and off, selecting sources and changing the volume in any remote zones are controlled at the touch of a button from a distance. 3. The three types of output to the emitter (independent, selected, and all) may be used in any combination and thus allow you to build any system configuration to suit your need. 4. Up to five zones (rooms) may be controlled by a single MCX-10. The MCX-10 LINK terminal lets you connect a second MCX-10 to control up to ten zones. 5. If necessary, you can shut off all audio functions in any zone at the MCX-10. 6. The Remote-control Transmitter (RCX-10) has a smart "learning" capability. You can copy functions of remote controllers that came with your audio/visual equipment into the RCX-10. * To build a link system, you need a Zone Control/Sensor (WCX-10) and a "Learning" Remote-control Transmitter (RCX-10) in addition to the MCX-10.
