Removing the TouchPad Bracket IMPORTANT: The TouchPad Board cannot be removed individually. To replace the TouchPad Board, replace the entire Upper Cover. 1. See "Removing the Upper Cover" on page 57. 2. Lift the FFC to detach the adhesive securing the cable to the Upper Cover. 3. Release the FFC locking latch and disconnect the TouchPad FFC from the cover. 66 Chapter 3

Removing the TouchPad Bracket
IMPORTANT:
The TouchPad Board cannot be removed individually. To replace the TouchPad Board, replace the
entire Upper Cover.
1.
See “Removing the Upper Cover” on page 57.
2.
Lift the FFC to detach the adhesive securing the cable to the Upper Cover.
3.
Release the FFC locking latch and disconnect the TouchPad FFC from the cover.
