Finish Damage Any stone chips, fracturesor deep scratchesin the finish should be repaired right away. Bare metal will corrode quickly and may develop a major repair expense. into Minor chips and scratches can be repaired with touch-up materials availablefrom your dealer or other service outlets. Larger areas finish damage can be corrected of in your dealer's body and paint shop. Fiberglass Springs NOTICE: Don't use corrosive or acidic cleaning agents, engine degreasers, aluminum cleaning agents or other harsh solvents to clean fiberglass springs; they'll damage the springs. Underbody Maintenance Chemicals usedfor ice and snow removal and dust control cancollect on the underbody. If these are not removed, accelerated corrosion (rust) occur on the can underbody parts suchas fuel lines, frame, floor pan, and exhaust system even though they have corrosion protection. At least every spring, flush these materials from the underbody with plain water. Clean any areas where mud and otherdebris can collect. Dirt packed in closed areas of the frame should be loosened before being flushed. Your dealer or an underbody vehicle washing system can do this for you. Chemical Paint Spotting Some weather and atmospheric conditions can create a chemicalfallout. Airborne pollutants can upon fall and attack painted surfaces on your vehicle.
