Windshield Wipers and Washers Rear Window Wiper and Washer 3. When you turn the wiper switch to the ''OFF'' position, the wiper will return to its parked position. 4. Rotate the switch counterclockwise to spray the window washer. The rear wiper will not work if the glass hatch is not fully closed. If you attempt to open the glass hatch while the rear wiper is operating, the wiper will return to the parked position, and then the glass hatch can be opened. After the glass hatch is closed, the rear wiper starts to operate again after a few seconds delay. When you shift the transmission to the reverse position with the front windshield wipers activated, the rear window wiper operates automatically. The rear window washer uses the same fluid reservoir as the windshield washer. Instruments and Controls 1. To turn on the rear window wiper, rotate the switch clockwise to ON. It operates intermittently. 2. Hold past ON to turn the rear window wiper on and to spray the rear window washer. 2009 Pilot 123
