294 MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE Rear Tail, Stop, Turn Signal, and Back-Up Lights 1. Remove the screws attaching the lens to the tailight housing. Center High Mounted Stop Light (CHMSL) The stop lamp is mounted on a bracket that extends upward from the tailgate. Remove the two screws holding the lens in place. Take the lens off and pull the bulb from the socket. 2. Separate the lens from the housing. 3. Push the bulb in, turn it counter-clockwise 1/3 turn, then remove it from the housing, and replace.
