Braking OPERATION 1. Release the throttle pedal completely. 2. Press on the brake pedal evenly and firmly. 3. Practice starting and stopping (using the brakes) until you're familiar with the controls. NOTE: When the throttle pedal is released completely and the engine speed drops near an idle, the vehicle has no engine braking. WARNING Failure to allow for increased braking distance when hauling cargo or towing a trailer may result in accident and injury. Always slow down and allow additional braking distance when towing or hauling cargo. 45
