Fast Forward, Reverse (DVD, video CD, audio CD) Press -44 or 10-10.- during playback. The program is played forward or in reverse at high speed. • When -4.4 or IP* is pressed repeatedly during DVD playback, the playback speed changes each time the button is pressed, as shown below. TI 2 1-1 4 I-1 8 In the forwarding or rewinding, "II•40-x4" or "*4x2" is displayed. To return to normal playback Press ►(Play). NOTES •There is no audio during DVD or Video CD playback. • The search speed is the value got in a disc which has an average bit rate. In some disc, the speed displayed on the screen may be different from the actual speed. Skipping (DVD, video CD, audio CD) Press IN or NI during playback. • Skip to the next chapter or track: ►►1 The disc position advances one chapter or track each time the button is pressed. • Return to the previous chapter or track: 1H In each disc, pressing IN once makes to skip to the beginning of the chapter (track) currently being played, and pressing HA twice makes to skip to the previous chapter. To skip to the desired chapter or track directly using the remote control (video CD, audio CD) When stopped or during playback, enter the desired track number using the numbered buttons on the remote control. Example: To play track 12 Press +10, 2 (or 1, 2) on the remote control, then press ►(Play) or ENTER. Example: To play track 20 Press +10, +10 (or 2, 0) on the remote control, then press ►(Play) or ENTER. Playback begins at the beginning of the selected track. Creating a simulated surround effect (Q SURROUND) Even when only two speakers are used at the left and right, O SURROUND makes the sounds rich and wide as if you are surrounded by two front speakers and two rear speakers. Press Q SURROUND on the remote control. To return to normal playback. Press Q SURROUND again. ENGLISH 13
