2.11 Onboard Headers and Connectors Onboard headers and connectors are NOT jumpers. Do NOT place jumper caps over these headers and connectors. Placing jumper caps over the headers and connectors will cause permanent damage of the motherboard! Serial ATA2 Connectors (SATA2_0_1: see p.2, No. 19) (SATA2_2_3: see p.2, No. 18) Serial ATA3 Connectors (SATA3_0_1: see p.2, No. 20) (SATA3_M0_M1: see p.2, No. 22) (SATA3_M2_M3: see p.2, No. 21) (SATA3_M4: see p.2, No. 15) SATA3_M4 SATA2_0 SATA2_2 SATA2_1 SATA2_3 These four Serial ATA2 (SATA2) connectors support SATA data cables for internal storage devices. The current SATA2 interface allows up to 3.0 Gb/s data transfer rate. These seven Serial ATA3 (SATA3) connectors support SATA data cables for internal storage devices. The current SATA3 interface allows up to 6.0 Gb/s data transfer rate. SATA3_M0 SATA3_M2 SATA3_0 SATA3_M1 SATA3_M3 SATA3_1 Serial ATA (SATA) Data Cable (Optional) Serial ATA (SATA) Power Cable (Optional) connect to the SATA HDD power connector connect to the power supply Either end of the SATA data cable can be connected to the SATA / SATA2 / SATA3 hard disk or the SATA2 / SATA3 connector on this motherboard. Please connect the black end of SATA power cable to the power connector on each drive. Then connect the white end of SATA power cable to the power connector of the power supply.
