6 6.1 Incoming Calls INCOMING CALLS An incoming call is indicated by a flashing indicator, accompanied by a ring signal and a vibrating phone. The ring type tells you if the call is an internal, external or callback call. Both ring signal and vibrator can be disabled. The calling party's number or name, or both, is displayed. The name of the caller will be shown if the calling party's phone number is stored in any of the phonebooks. When a headset is connected to the phone, the answering button on the headset can be used to answer the call. The 25 last received phone numbers are stored in the call list along with the latest dialed and missed phone numbers, see 8 Call List on page 53. Answering Calls When you receive a call, do the following to answer: • Press . OR • Press to answer in loudspeaking mode (handsfree). You are connected to the caller via the loudspeaker. OR • Press the answering button on the headset. Note: Calls can be answered at any time even during programming, or while keying in a number. When the phone is in idle mode, you can change the answering method, see 19.6 Changing Answering Methods on page 112. Other answering methods, such as Automatically or Loudspeaking, can be set from the Settings tab, , see 19 Settings on page 106. Incoming Calls
An incoming call is indicated by a flashing indicator, accompanied by a
ring signal and a vibrating phone. The ring type tells you if the call is an
internal, external or callback call. Both ring signal and vibrator can be
disabled. The calling party’s number or name, or both, is displayed.
The name of the caller will be shown if the calling party’s phone number
is stored in any of the phonebooks. When a headset is connected to the
phone, the answering button on the headset can be used to answer the
call.
The 25 last received phone numbers are stored in the call list along with
the latest dialed and missed phone numbers, see 8 Call List on page 53.
