51 Near Field Communication (NFC) press the Windows key and then type "NFCNameCard". Under the Acer heading, click on NFCNameCard. English Place the other NFC device closer than 2 cm from your computer's touchpad . When a notification displays on the other device, your contact information has transmitted and the other person can pull their device away. They can then follow the prompts on their device for adding your info into their contacts list. Receiving information with NFC All it takes is a swipe for someone to share information with you. Smartphones, tablets, and other devices can send information to your computer via NFC. Depending upon the device sending the data, you may be able to receive a variety of content. Much of the content NFC is able to send opens in your web browser when transmitted; as such, you must have Internet access to view it. To share content, transmitting devices generally need to do the following: Note: For specific instructions on transmitting content via NFC, see the owner's manual for the other device. 1. With NFC enabled, open the application you want to transmit information from. 2. Navigate to the specific information you want to send (a person's contact details, a website, a Google map, etc.) 3. Place the device closer than 2 cm from your computer and follow any onscreen instructions.
